Small Firm Roundtable

Mission of the Small Firm Roundtable

The goal of the Small Firm Roundtable is to provide an opportunity for lessons learned and shared knowledge among small practitioners who might otherwise not interact outside of their small offices. Our intent is to increase knowledge among attendees, through assistance from peers on issues that may have come up recently, through lessons learned and Q&A, and through exposure to different types of firms and ways of doing business. In addition, we are building a network of small practitioners from outside of the architecture community (engineers and other consultants) that may provide services to small practitioners that may not have otherwise heard of these firms. This gives them a chance to specifically understand the types of projects and scope of services common to the projects of small practitioners.

Small Firm Roundtable Activities include:

The Small Firm Roundtable task force holds informal meetings in which a topic of interest is presented and discussed, with open Q&A with attendees. The beginning of the meetings are a networking and social opportunity where dinner and drinks are provided.

The Small Firm Roundtable time commitment is roughly two to three hours to attend each event (one event per quarter average), with an additional prep time for case study presentations, when applicable.
