AAMA Standards for Fenestration Products

Program

This course will review various fenestration substrates and surface finishes, with an in-depth look at the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) standards and test procedures for fenestration products

Learning Objectives:

1. Upon completion of the program, participants will compare the advantages and disadvantages of different fenestration substrates, including extruded aluminum, roll form aluminum, pultruded fiberglass and vinyl.

 

2.  Participants will identify the various fenestration surface finishes and their characteristics.

 

3. Participants will examine AAMA’s role in identifying and evaluating high-performance fenestration finishes, including their nine standards for substrates and finishes.

 

4. Participants will further Describe AAMA test procedures used to evaluate substrates and finishes.

Michael has been associated with the fenestration industry for more that 15 years. Working for window manufacturers and dealers selling into the residential and commercial markets. As a territory manager for Marvin he is responsible for supporting the Marvin dealers, builders, GC's, remodelers and the architectural community.
